After installation of Outlook 2013, open it.

If you are starting the program first time, the email setting window will automatically pop-up to easily setup your email account.

If this is not your first time to start Outlook 2013 on your PC, the email setting option will not open automatically, you have to follow manual configuration. A few and easy-to-remember steps are required to follow. Drag the mouse to “File” menu, move it to “info” to choose ‘Add Account’.

A new wizard will start for auto email account setup, select “manual setup" and then press “Next” option

The next window will ask you to choose your email service. Here you need to select POP or IMAP and then “Next” button.

Now the window will open that you are longing for, it is email setting window. Before you setup your email account, it is necessary to enable POP in Hotmail. Follow a few simple steps:

  • Start your Hotmail account
  • Click on the Configuration button
  • Choose More mail settings
  • Choose Connect Devices and apps with POP
  • Enable POP

Now you can freely setup your email account by writing name, email address, incoming email server, outgoing email server, user name, password, select Remember Password, “New Outlook Data file” to deliver new messages… Go to the “More Settings” to setup “Outgoing Server” and “Advanced”. Click “Finish” button to setup your Hotmail email account in the latest Outlook 2013.
