This tutorial will help you setting up your Hotmail email account with Outlook 2003.
Start Outlook 2003 on your PC after installation of the program.
If you are starting the Outlook 2003 program for the first time, email account setup window will open automatically. Click OK and proceed further.
If you have opened Outlook 2003 on your PC earlier, the email account setup window will not start automatically. You have to start it manually. A few simple steps need to follow:
Move the cursor to ‘Tool’ menu and then ‘E-mail Accounts…’
A new wizard will open that allows you to change the email accounts and directories that Outlook uses.
Select ‘Add a new email account’ and then ‘Next’
A new window start asking you to select the server type, choose ‘POP3’ and then ‘Next’
Internet email setting window will open
Before setting email, you will need to enable POP in Hotmail:
Start Hotmail
Go to the Configuration button which is at top of the page
Choose More mail settings and then Connect devices and app with POP option
Enable POP
Now you can create your Hotmail email account in Outlook 2003
Write your name
Email address
User name and a unique password
Go to the “More Setting” option to set ‘Outgoing Server’ where choose “use same settings as my incoming mail server” and “Advanced” setting.
The process is very simple and easy to remember. You will not find any problem in operating your Hotmail email account with Outlook 2003.
