If you wish to configure Outlook 2010 with your Yahoo account, you can do this by following a few easy steps. Here is a simple tutorial to go through to configure your Yahoo account with Outlook 2010.
Following the tutorial doesn’t require any technical support from others, just follow the simple steps given below.
Open the Outlook 2010 on your PC.
If you are opening the program first time on your PC, the email account setup window will itself popup.
If this is not your first time to start the program on your PC, you will have to go manually to open the email account window.
Visit the “File” menu, move the cursor to “Info” and then select “Add Account”
The next window will demand to setup auto account or manually setup settings, choose “manually configure server settings” and “Next” button
The next wizard is to setup email server, choose “Internet E-mail” because it allows connection with POP or IMAP server and click “Next”
The very next window is internet mail setting, but before you set email account, it is must to ensure that POP is enable in your Yahoo account so that your mail account can connect with email clients. A few simple steps need to follow to enable POP on Yahoo.
Now, setup your Yahoo mail account on Outlook Windows by filling the email account information
Name
Incoming mail server (POP3)
Incoming and Outgoing mail servers
Account name
Unique password
In “More Settings” set the “Outgoing Server” and “Advanced”
In “Advanced”, incoming server will be 995
Outgoing server will be 465
Thus, you can able to set your Yahoo account with Outlook 2007.
